Our Story

 Rugged Shark was founded in 2001 for the active aquatic explorer - largely inspired by the sport of fishing. The heritage footwear designs are performance based – mainly boat shoes and waterproof deck boots. In 2021, we realized we can make water adventures, big or small, comfortable for the entire family. Rugged Shark is embracing FUNctional footwear for use in and around the water. For some, that means heading out to the backyard or going to the beach, for others it can mean a 5-mile hike or going on a weekend camping trip that will include hiking, fishing and more. Rugged Shark is water-friendly, lightweight, durable, multi-functional and features drainage and a sonar footbed.
